One Year Old and Still Tickin'

Happy Holiday's from the Holmstrom's

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year's!! We hope all of you
have plenty of reasons to smile, give thanks, and enjoy being
together during this special time of year. We are aiming at getting out a
Christmas card, but no guarantees. If you are complaining,
just print one of these pictures off and write our names on it!!

This chronological picture set begins with Anya's 1st Halloween,
1st Birthday (celebrated in the Twin Cities with friends), Thanksgiving in
Grand Rapids and Hibbing, and learning to walk and harvest Christmas
trees. Enjoy, she is just a ball these days.

Scared even before its a jack-o-lantern.

Sorry it's been awhile, I've been hung up on things.

(Learning the backwards crawl, 9 months)

It has been over three months since the last blog update. Sorry, but daycare and
weekend plans have got me booked. Since you last heard from me, I think you'll
notice some changes...After 11 months of life, I actually have hair, teeth, can crawl and climb up on things, feed myself, give kisses (in the form of headbutts), share my food and toys and play music accompanied by funky dance moves. My favorite pet is Chumley who I point at and make high pitched squeels (Jaz licks me too much), my favorite food is anything as long as sweet potatoes, avocados, pears or apples are mixed with it, my favorite toy is an octopus
with piano keys that I play the same song over and over and I never seem to
get bored with, and my favorite soother is this square pink blanket that I
crawl with and suck on till it is brown.

Hope you enjoy my pics starting most recently with
my grouse hunting trip up the north shore with Grandpa Dick (11 months) and ending
with a Holmstrom/Erickson family get together (8 months). Please check out the pics on the 9-11 month pics, there are hundreds and sorry I couldn't fit you all in on this update!!!

I'm BA-A-A-ACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Holla at cha' girl!

It hasn't even been two months since the last update, but it sure seems like a looong time ago. Maybe it is true that having kids ages a person...like when you see two different couples at 45 years old: the kidless couple is fit, cuddly, and have nice tans and the couple with kids is overweight, squabbling with each other, and have some gray hair and wrinkles.

Even though two months seems like a long time ago, summer is going way to fast. Since the last update, Anya has experienced her first Lake of the Woods walleye, been to Washington D.C.-Baltimore area to attend Grandma Mary(Becky's mom) and Don's wedding, hang with Grandpa Dick and meet Great-Grandma Kay, cheered on marathon runner's at Grandma's Marathon, and just returned from a 4th of July celebration in St. Peter, MN (B's hometown).

Ani has been mildly entertained with Dad taking care of her this summer. We try to get to the beach, go on bike rides, meet up with friends while still finding time for chores, gardening and having dinner ready for Mom during her busy field season. Ani is jabbering away, loving food (as you can tell), has her first tooth, and is thinking about crawling. If there was a way for her to crawl without being on her stomach she would be all over it.
