Santa's Little Helper

The onesie (shirt for non-parents) pretty much says it all!!

We have survived the first month!! 215 more months and she will be 18 and out of the house. Nah, things haven't been too bad. Just trying to figure the little munchkin out. We fully understand why many friends have decided not to have kids and also realize why so many more have decided to have them. They really are all-encompassing.

We have had a lot of help, visitors, gifts, cards, and calls...thank you to all involved in trying to make Anya's life a little more enjoyable.

Here is hoping the following pics make you smile, think of family and friends, and give thanks for the holidays and what makes them great!

If you are interested in more pics, click on the links to the left that say Anya's birth, and 1st Month.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year,

Becky, Eric, Anya, Chumley and Jasmine

Mom already has her exercising.

A Reason for Giving Thanks

At 1:02 pm on 11/17/07, after 37 hours of labor, Anya Rae Holmstrom was born. She is 7 lbs and 18.7 inches long and is pretty darn cute (despite looking a lot like her dad: according to family members). Becky and Eric had an amazing natural childbirth and the support of her sister Christina, mom Mary, doula Kara Lee, Dr. extraordinaire Jen Mueller, and the hospital staff made it a phenomenal experience.

Becky did lose almost 1 liter of blood afterwards and we had a brief scare with her fainting and looking pale-white, alarms going off and hospital staff in panicked frenzy. She stabilized within minutes. I (Eric) felt so bad because she had just given everything she had to deliver the baby and her she is trying to remain calm while needles are jabbed into her legs and iv's into her arms. We were released on Monday and are now at home with family helping us out.

We are tired, happy, relieved, and a bit perplexed at trying to figure this little creature out. She kept us up pretty much all last night with a tummy ache and four poopy diapers. I guess you could call it the Anya Hazing Initiation.

Here are a few pictures to quell your curiosity.

Labor ain't that bad...(according to Eric)

Up and Running

Hi friends and family,

BandE'sBabyBlog mission statement: The purpose of this baby blog is to supply photos and interesting tidbits about our baby and family.

This is not a diary or documentary or divulgence of our day to day lives. You have better things to do with your time (get back to work!) and so should we (e-house projects, b-writing thank you letters: sorry if you haven't gotten them yet, she means well, just takes her time). However, if someone wants to step up and take the technological reigns please let us know (video, custom design, etc.).

Just like B and I, our aim is to keep it simple and make you smile and wish you were here changing it's/her diaper.
